Event - A Visit to Masefield Community Garden

On Tuesday 26th November Mrs Kielstra, Mrs Pettigrew, Miss Wood and Mr Edwards went with a group of children to visit Masefield Community Garden in Northfield.

We went to learn more about trees and how important they are to our planet. During the visit we learned about different types of trees, we decorated Tree Cookies and found out about seed dispersal. Luckily, it didn’t rain too much but it was very muddy!

At the end of the trip we were given three trees to plant at school - an Apple Tree, a Hazel Tree and a Silver Birch. We are looking forward to developing our own outside learning environment over the next few months!
